Hundreds of Sikhs arrive in Pakistan for annual pilgrimage

Evacuee Property Trust Board (EPTB) Chairman Muhammad Siddiqul Farooq, Additional Secretary Shrines Muhammad Tariq, Sardar Tara Singh and different authorities warmly respected the Sikh yatrees on their landing in Wagha railroad station for Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab boss Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Conversing with the media, the ETPB Chairman said that extraordinary security, stay and sustenance plans had been made for sikh yatrees. He said the security of gurdwaras in Pakistan had been enstrusted to Rangers. He said that religion and nation could be distinctive yet all people were one under mankind.

He said that Guru Nanak University in Nankana Sahib and Ghandara University in Taxila had been built for which the Higher Education Commission had dispensed Rs 1 billion each.

"Space for Guru Nanak University office has been gotten in Eidhi Complex, Islamabad," he included.

To a question, he said that Pakistani individuals needed great relations with Indians and petitioned God for lessening in current pressure between both the countries.

Sikh Yatrees gather pioneer Sardar Balvinder Singh said thanks to the Pakistani Government, ETPB and the country for magnificent welcome and excellent game plans for the yatrees.

Not long after their landing, the yatrees left for Punja Sahib Hasanabadal where they will remain for three days.

The focal function of Besakhi celebration will be held there on April 14, where Sikh yatrees will play out their customs. Government Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and ETPB Chairman Muhammad Siddiqul Farooq will be boss visitor on the event. They will visit Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahab, on April 15 and the following day, they will visit Sucha Sauda, Farooqabad to play out their customs.

The yatrees will visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore on April 18. They will visit Kartarpur Narowal on April 19 and profit to Lahore for that day.

A class title "Besakhi" will be held at Aiwan-i-Iqbal in Lahore on April 20, where Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajwana will be the main visitor.

The yatrees will come back to their country, India, on April 21.
